Swedish National Product Registration Requires More Information About Nanomaterials

According to ECHA the Swedish national product registration of nanomaterials will require more information about the particles in the future. The Swedish Chamical Agency (Kemi) will require the following information during registration in the future:

  • Classification according to CLP
  • Function of the nanomaterial in the specific product
  • Primary particle size
  • Average agglomerate/aggregate size in the product
  • Shape of the nanomaterial
  • Crystalline structure
  • Surface size
  • Surface treatment of the nanomaterials

Details about the innovations can be found under this Link.

This makes it necessary for registrants to disclose even the smallest amounts of nanomaterials intentionally added to a product.
