There are hardly any limits to the diversity of nanomaterials. They come in a wide variety of forms: in addition to organic nanotubes (e.g. carbon nanotubes), there are also inorganic nanomaterials, such as metal oxides. All types of materials can be similar or different in their external shape (e.g. spherical or tubular), size and surface area. Furthermore, many nanomaterials are additionally provided with a surface modification or a surface coating. This makes it possible to strengthen or weaken a certain material behavior. For example, citrate-stabilized silver nanomaterials can be slowed down in releasing Ag+ ions. This means that the particles dissolve less quickly and retain their function over a longer period.
We at nEcoTox meet this boundless nano-variability and diversity during our laboratory work with scientific know-how and many years of experience in the field of nanoscience.
You too can use this expertise to evaluate your material. We are happy to help you!
