The EU-funded project Knowledge Transfer Upper Rhine (KTUR) has been running since fall 2019. The aim is to promote cooperation in research and development between science and industry in the trinational Upper Rhine region. To this end, twelve universities from Germany, France and Switzerland as well as business associations and companies have joined forces to form a cross-border network. nEcoTox is a member of the KTUR Business Advisory Board and provides advice to the university partners.
In addition to the personal exchange in the network, various measures are implemented in the project for companies and startups located in the region. These are intended to form the foundation for a cross-border offering in the area of knowledge and technology transfer. A central component, for example, is the development of a digital information and exchange platform that offers companies quick and easy access to technology offers from the entire Upper Rhine region. In addition, new training programs will be developed, networking opportunities for startups will be created, and trinational innovation events will be organized.
As part of the KTUR network and member of the business advisory board, nEcoTox contributes its experience and needs in terms of technology transfer to the project. The input of numerous companies from the Upper Rhine region enables the project team to create a modern offer in the field of technology and knowledge transfer, which is optimally adapted to the needs of the companies.
The EU is funding KTUR with 1.6 million euros as part of the INTERREG V program. On the Swiss side, the project is supported with federal and cantonal funds.
